A missed opportunity there Dishmop - When dry box it up and sell as eco friendly confetti;)

Seriously though a good nectar source the wild cherry trees bordering my patch really BUZZZ in spring which offsets the petal fall mess and even worse the leaves in autumn.

Its terrible stuff to clear up. Sticks to your shoes... Rake it up and it all sticks together in lumps.... Of course what normally happens is that just as it is about to drop we get a good strong wind and it blows all over the place and sticks to everything.... but this year it didnt and all fell in the garden. My hives are now in the corner near the gate.
Have trimmed it back now as some of the branches were getting a bit long.

We planted it when we moved here in 1979.
