If it ain't broke, why fiddle with it.

Have I interpreted you right in that after 24 hours (or so) you remove the tab and let the bees eat the candy to free the queen?
Probably roughly equates to the same timing of my 3 days and release directly onto frame. Not that I'm saying what I do is any better.
