Resistant is enough.

In many advices it is said that change the queen.

I have had that disease 40 years ago, and it went away every time with changing queen.

One thing is too that if I see a porous brood area, the queen will go to buches.

Difficult to say about sub species. In practice bees are more or less hybrids and races have much variation.
