Problem if thicker than supplied poly/acrylic is used is that the roof does not fit snugly!

With the Paynes type pollynuc a slab of fondant will fit neatly into the side feed chamber.... I use invert to get Autumn stores into overwintered nucs as the bees just take it in and store it.
