How much do you guys charge 'acquaintances' for honey ? I see flower selling locally in up-market outlets for £4.75 - I've got about 20 lbs I would be selling so that's not going to disturb the local commercial market, but at the same time it's clearly not fair on the commercial beeks to undercut them.

FFS! - we're always being told how cosmopolitan Auld Reekie is and yet here you are telling us that "up-market" outlets are only charging £4.75.

That's not that far off rural lincolnshire shop prices and way below Surrey/London direct sales rates (£5-6 per jar min - and that's sometimes only 12oz).

Sorry but to report this but in my local "Deli" which in it's self is a sad usage of the word, neatly labelled Castle Donington honey is £3-50/lb. How sad is that?

My neighbourhood butcher is selling local honey (not mine, I am afraid) for £6.99/lb.
