Plant identification please?

Can anybody tell me what this plant is?
The flowers are 4cm across



And it's as tall as the rosebay willow herb behind it



It appeared on the lawn a few weeks ago and I thought I would leave it to see what it would grow into. There are several satellites.

Brilliant. Just googled that for more pictures and you're spot on. Wonder where that came from?

Yes me also thinks it looks like chicory as I let a number of vegetables go to seed this year and chicory was one of them and looks very similar.

Looks like a sea aster... botony is not my subject... but I believe it is edible!
