Went to my out apiary on my friends farm earlier today, had a wonder and came across the plant in the photo, can anyone ID it please, also the plant in the background with all the fuzzy buds/flowers.

Yes Mullein.
Bees of all sorts like it.
I have about fifty young plants in the greenhouse ready to go out.
Well worth growing
It’s biennial and has fine seeds like foxgloves
 
Many thanks, just read up on it, very interesting, yes the leaves did remind me of Foxglove leaves.
 
They seed everywhere and anywhere but luckily they are easily identifiable. They also have a moth that likes them which will decimate them given the chance ( common name verbascum)

Ian123, it's on my friends farm, nearest house 300 meters one way then 400 meters tuther way, then after that as far as the eye can see, just love going up there, so peaceful, until a phesant pops up in front of you and makes you jump out of your skin !!! I consider myself lucky to have such an escape !!!
