All,
I have seen various pictures like the one I have attached and have wondered how this effect is achieved.

I heard that the person daubs themselves in a pheromone and puts the queen in a cage in their pocket...but how do they avoid getting stung or bees that wander into noses, ears, eyes, etc?

16 a mix of Commercial, National, 14 x 12, Dadant and a Warre
L.E. Snelgrove's "Swarming, it's control and prevention" book has his nibs pictured on the cover with a full beard of bees. It was achieved by tucking the caged queen under his chin:)
