Everybody still keeping bees, some in the most extraordinary fashion?
Where are RAB and Jenkins? What have you done to them?

I still have bees, a good year at last. Smack on the wrist for the other two apparently!

You have just made my Day/Night and welcome back ;)..your advice has helped me many times in the past and also into the future.

RAB and Jenky where too arrogant and abusive with several members but i am sure they will be back..

Bee wise i am up and down with eight colonies and doing ok i think four of which are Queen - for now..i have 210lb of honey in my buckets at the moment with more buckets on order.. aside that ticking over nicely and better soon if you are back on the Scene..

You were cheers before I left 🐝
I am back from the jaws of death and not frightened of anything now 😉

Welcome back you have been missed. My bees much the same as usual not giving me much trouble. Waiting for one colony with 2017 Q to make swarm preparations. Probably imminent as they are building up strongly on the current flow. Putting another super on tomorrow morning to give them some more room in the heat. What is your bee situation? Tell us all about it. xx

Sold nine hives in April
Down to four and a split
Two without queens for now
Shook a DLQ colony out this morning
Got some nice hawthorn and dandelion honey this spring but bees eaten most of it when weather closed in after an early start.
Bramble, Clover and Balsam pouring in.

Hi ya,
Welcome back. Like yours, my bees have consumed a lot of the Spring honey, because June has been so grim.
Started the year with three, now have four plus three nucs following an extremely swarmy May.

Good to see you Erica. Jenks is taking an enforced sabbatical as is RAB. Wont take you long to get back in the swing of it

Back with a bang! Same for me on the honey situation - eaten half. Most annoying thing they uncapped frames, so all the frames are half full! However, on a flow at the moment and the hives smell so lovely.

:welcome:

A voice of sanity .

RAB and Jenks got caught believing they were god (Old Testament fire and brimstone style, not modern and forgiving) and acting accordingly . Cast into outer darkness with wailing and gnashing of teeth...

Welcome back Erica.
You've just made me think, Where are Dusty and Caz these days?

I think Dusty’s life is just too busy to wade through some of the dross here.
Caz is famous on the Bees, Wasps and Ants Facebook page where she is s very knowledgable admin. I think she’s a recorder somewhere too. A rare talent considering her tender beginnings.
Oh and thanks for the welcome back

Not just Dusty and Kaz ...

Those of us who have been on here a few years will remember some other names that are no longer seen. Many of them stopped posting with the arrival of two particularly unpleasant creatures - Flabellum and Thymallus.. thankfully both received lifetime bans and will never be missed but the following (along with JBM and RAB) are sorely missed. Prolific posters and knowledgeable beekeepers who lent so much credence to this forum in its early days and I miss their contributions, social context and occasionally humour. Perhaps it was just a coincidence when they left or just stopped posting ?- You'd have to ask them.

Tom Bick – still reads but doesn’t post.
Dpearce4 - still here but rarely posts
BeeJayBee – left us completely
Redwood - only 2 posts this year
Ely – still drops by but doesn’t post
Tryingtolethembee – still here but only one post this year
Queens59 – Left us completely
Muswell Metro – still around but two posts this year
Cussword – Still drops in but no longer posts
ChrisB – Left us completely
Karol – drops by but a handful of posts this year
Chris Luck – Left us completely
Bossleu – Drops by but one post this year

and there are more ... sad loss.
