Our local bee inspector wears walking boots and gaiters with his bee-suit. Not fancy white beekeeping gaiters either just millets specials.

RAB are you extracting the michael? I'm very fond of my bee suit, well actually it is a white overall with elasticated cuffs and legs worn with a She**if hood/vest, as sold by Taylors of Welwyn (RIP) in 1980 and still going strong.

To finally put this to bed - Suit on first then wellies = bee proof as far as my ankles. With my sailing wellies tied = bee proof full stop
