I want to mix a thymol patty (caster sugar, fat, and thymol crystals).

Thing is, once I've used it in one of the wife's dishes is the dish mine forever, never to contain human food again?

Or will it be ok, once washed as usual.....

I do not mix thymol in the kitchen.. You need open spaces or you could damage your lungs.

I use old foil containers to heat and mix it in: certainly NOTHING used to feed any person or animal.

The smell of thymol when mixed is as penetrating as moth balls multiplied by a factor of 50 .. and just as disagreeable.

It's a seriously disagreeable chemical and should be treated with great care when concentrated - I always use disposable gloves and work in an open space.

Thanks, glad you told me that.

My own dish it is then, and mixed outside the house.

We keep the box at the top of the stairs, it's good to get a whiff on the way up.

And, yes, the dish is yours, it stays forever.
