:iagree: Having kept bees for more than 30 years I class myself as an "old hand" with the emphasis on the old. I would not and have not extracted the urine and take exception to your rant.

Don't tar everyone with the same brush.

I'm with you MJbee. I try to be fair and pleasant.
I take offence to the original post.

there's always the ignore button :)
A few days back the "ignore" tag was appearing bottom right near the "quote" button. It seems to have gone, maybe admin thought it wasn't appearing well formatted or maybe it was being hit in error (fat fingers on the tablets). Whatever, the function is still available, one route is to bring up the user's profile by clicking on the name and using the drop down "user lists" tab under the name - there's an "add to ignore list" menu item.

I've not actually ignored anyone, it makes the threads harder to follow. just assume they mean well but it's a bit abrupt or patronising. If you think this is rough, try politics or religion discussions. As I recall the term was "flame war". This is an oasis of calm and sanity ;)

Add: I'm sure admin could produce a list of "top ten" ignored ids. It would be some guide to who's been most abrasive in the past. Problem is, there's always somebody who thinks they should be higher up the table. :)

I am looking for an ignore button,I may have to make one, until its back you can add a member to ignore using your control panel.

There you go, all you need to know from admin.
No beginners should be put of joining this forum, I find it very useful and so will other beginners.

I can not say that I have ever read anything here that is totally wrong............
Skewed, biased, rude and sometimes exceptionally uninformed or even unimaginative... but never totally wrong.

Crikey..... I know some threads go off topic sometimes and some members are occasionally a little curt but to brand the whole forum as useless because of that is just ridiculous tbh....

I myself, recently exchanged argumentative posts with Amari, who annoyed me a little with his sarcastic responses to one of my posts. That doesnt mean I think the forum is rubbish or want to add him to the "People I dont like anymore" list. Chances are, he may provide some sound advice in the future.

At the risk of prompting another feet stamping thread by the OP, I think someone needs to grow up a bit..

I enjoy poking fun at some of the more dogmatic posts. Got called 'a tit' a couple of days ago! Blue tit, Great tit, Coal tit?
I've kept bees more than 40 years. Love the forum and learn a lot!

Coincidental almost simultaneous posts HM! My sarcasm was a little harsh and I tried to edit, unsuccessfully, a few minutes later. Apols. I will strive to 'provide some sound advice in the future'.

P.S. Which tit did you have in mind? We have 4 species on the apple tree outside our kitchen window.

You see Stoneleighhouse....sometimes its just down to people misreading or overreacting to someone elses post...

Intended humour, can very easily be misinterpretted as unintended sarcasm or similar....

Can't concur with the OP at all... unless you have less than X* hives and attract the wrath of the Fin there is little but constructive help here. A problem with the web in general and forum posts in particular is that people often interpret things in a different spirit to the intention.

If you want to see a bear pit of forum in action - go ask pretty much anything as an un-informed noob on the miataturbo forum about supercharging and then sit back and prepare to be savaged. (Or a fairly well informed noob come to that)

*Where X is an imaginary number that varies as far as I can tell in adverse relationship the Vodka intake...

Well, there always something new on this forum, I have just found out about miaturbos!
Had to Google though, what a rude forum that is, glad I don't have a Mazda

I'm not sure where you're coming from with this. I've just read your thread from this morning, and it looks as though you raised a question which was fairly fully discussed from various angles. What's the problem?
.

:iagree:
Read through the other thread and can only conclude the op has an ungrateful soul.

Have you got a beard by any chance, Amari :spy:
