Misplaced apostrophe. Funny how we can all make mistakes, eh?

I agree. Adding yet another membership card to your wallet went out with video rental. Save money and potential mistakes next year by not issuing one at all.How often did you use the card last year - personally - not once
It's an error - will have any hardly effect, move along, nothing to see here
Many of us see the point, but also see the potential £24,000 of a print run and mailing (Assume 24,000 members, 2nd class A4 post @ 69p, and print/enveloping costs unfeasibly low at 31p)
A similar cost to send everyone on their mailing list an apology letter - when they may just as well IMHO include an apology in the next newsletter for no additional cost?
Mistakes happen.
I'm happy not to have a reprint myself, but if that's not your view, perhaps you should contact BBKA directly?
If members are that irritated by a mistake in the date then don't join next year simple.

Good grief ... who would have thought an opinion would have generated so much angst ! If the BBKA wish to present themselves as a 'professional' organisation then they should behave in a professional manner - the 'mistake' was originally presented as a 'printers error' and if this had been the case the printer would have been picking up the cost of a reprint. As it was, latterly, admitted that it was a 'proofing error' then there's no chance of that happening.... it was a BBKA person or persons who didn't check as carefully as they should have.
A reprint would not cost a fortune ... a re-run (which could again be the coversheet/address page for the next BBKA news) could be sponsored by one of the suppliers with a full paqe advert or coupon on the back ... if it was the marketing department of the BBKA that proof read it then perhaps they are the ones who should be looking for some creative (and low cost) ways of putting it right. Im' out of this debat know ...
But didn't they first put this down to a print error, not a cock-up? As soon as you try to lie to your membership, you're on a sticky wicket. Either they are amateurs or need better governance and perhaps assistance from the associations to ensure members are treated better.
BBKA is run mostly by amateurs.
I still haven't got the June mag or my card after 2 emails chasing it.
WHY do I bother being a member??
SWMBO's card arrived, no problem in a separate letter, now there's a waste of postage.
Tim
I must have yours then!, just got two mags, and with two different BBKA member numbers on the wrapper, to the same address!
but only one membership card delivered!
