if research has shown that honey comb is contaminated with pesticides then how?

young Bee that have never left the hive secrete wax that makes the comb. so how is the wax geting contaminated with pesticides? the only way that I can think of is the field bees keep on working the already made up comb and contaminating it that way!

But don't forget that the bees have been reared on pollen and nectar, and they feed on nectar or honey when making wax; and more and more of that is from treated sources.
 
The greatest contamination is by the Beekeeper adding miticides to kill varroa and then wax being reclaimed and sold for making into commercial rolled foundation

lower quality foundation in the UK is reputed to includes imported wax from china and africa
