But "loaded" is obviously a "tainted" word.

Eh ?

'Tainted' suggests an undesirable accidental contamination, whereas in this instance the addition of a copper salt to sugar syrup is the result of deliberate action (i.e. the inclusion was intentional).
I can't imagine anyone ever describing the addition of salt or monosodium glutamate, for example - no matter how undesirable those may or may not be in a foodstuff - as being 'tainted', precisely because of their intentional addition ... as ingredients..

Exactly - and honey does not have any 'ingredients' and I would find the \addition of copper salts to my honey extremely undesireable thus if the copper (the same as with thymol) ends up in the honey intended for sale it is 'tainted' (note inverted commas as inte4ntionally put in my original post'.)
And anyway, this is just becoming a diversion from the opriginal thread which is the OP fiddling about with half-cock ideas instead of practising basic bee husbandry, ensuring the health of his colonies and gaining some basic practical skills before experimenting with some airy fairy ideas of copper queen excluders being the magic bullet for varroa treatment.
