MY goodness ... 30 pages and over 300 posts ... who would have believed it from this:

"I quit now....... "

Odds on that it will make 50 pages ....

"Your hope heals legs..."

Great motto for a devoutly religious Orthopaedic Surgeon!!!!! (Christian or Muslim)

My great great great grandfather healed feet - he was a shoemaker on the isle of Anglesey
(yes, shame, I have North Walian blood in me!)

Excuses, that does not belong to my virtue collection.

.All the time.... I wait that you for example start to use your brains.
It is hard job to follow.

I am using my brain and other skills to make enough money to live my life as I want to with as little effort as possible. I earn money so I can pay the bills and enjoy whats left over. I am away from home most weekends between May and October. The effort required to give me the same level of income from honey wouldnt allow me to enjoy myself as I do. Making three hives from a £30 sheet of ply and filling them with bees to sell is a far better option.

What do you do with the money you earn from honey?

Unfullfilled promises.

Is it an odd formula:

No mites = No honey yield

Treating mites = good yields

100 kg/hive means nothing.

I have been good 45 years

You are good in "not seeing mites". You need reading glasses.

Dismop. You are lazy as a beekeeper, those "do nothing guys". Beekeepings demands a little bit interest to learn things. But is is nice to have 2 hives on back yard and seems like a beekeeper.

****!! you mean they are chickens and not bees.

A person who has 1 hive is a beekeeper. Just interested in keeping bees.

I dont think that you will ever be able to understand that not everybody feels the need to keep bees just to earn money.

Some people are not physically capable, or of being able to spend hours each week inspecting several hives.. One or two is all they want, or can manage.

If I was lazy then I wouldnt have been able to double my hives from 2 to 4 this year and have 2 nucs. I havent had any of my bees swarm this year. My observation hive is 3 years old, and I have sold 3 nucs.... I have taken the honey I need and there is still plenty there so that I dont have to mess around feeding, which would take more time....or is it classed as lazy to leave honey for the bees and not have to feed them sugar?

So????????????? errr.. varroa free bees dont produce honey? but if you treat them, even thought they dont have mites, they suddenly produce honey.
Therefore...........what do mite free bees live on?

I dont feel the need to have any more hives than I already have, why would I want to?

and why havent my bees died yet?????????? Well, Finman doesnt offer any explaintion and I certainly dont know...
........

Possibly because you reduce the varroa load by regularly splitting colonies and selling on nuclei ...... and you have mentioned unexplained hive loss in the past.

Quite true, I did have one unexplained hive loss, and they had been treated before I bought them, and another was a nuc last year probably due to a failed queen, as was the case with many other beeks.

Possibly, and therefore something that seems to have worked to the advantage of the bees.
