Hello Everyone!

As the name suggests really...

My Dad had a few hives approx 25 years ago when I was little, and he's recently taken the hobby back up. He got his first hive 3 weeks ago. Fast forward 3 weeks and he has 3 supers nearly full of rapeseed and after 3 inspections and not finding the queen he now isn't sure there is one in the hive.... He's really out of his depth TBH, and doesn't remember as much as he thought he would, so I'm trying my best to help by joining this forum and reading up. Please be gentle :) last week I didn't know anything about beekeeping! He's joined his local association and is attending his first meeting on Saturday. Wish us luck!

:icon_204-2::welcome: You certainly have dropped yourself in it!

Good luck!

Oil Seed Rape (OSR) granulates very quickly so don't waste any time in getting your supers extracted. As soon as you have done this, put the wet frames straight back on the colony and the bees will lick them clean so they are ready for the next crop.
