I just love to see a newly laid hedge. For a few years it was a rarity but I see a few more now.

it was an old hedge, very thick stems, had to use a chainsaw as well as a bill-hook

if you go to watch a competition they all use chain saws, cracking job tho

the other a better thing with a aid hedge is that it is naturaly stock proof and you dont have to do much with it for 10 years

There's a really good dvd about hedge laying called "Laying it on the line" by the National Hedge Laying Society. It explains all the different hedge laying methods around the country. Well worth a watch.

well he's done, finished at 7. Great job. Now I have a lot of trash to burn. All a man needs to keep him happy is a puddle of water, a fire and a pointy stick.

How old does a hedge need to be to be laid

I have a few hedges some years old and others brand new well 2 years old and about 1m high. I would love to have them laid but I want the finished Hight to be 2.5m is this possible?
