Extractor issues

Ah the rod on the extractor basket does not have a hole at the top - I suspect that part just have sheared off and be stuck in the green bit.

Does the top of the rod have a flat machined finish? If it had sheared off you would see stress marks in the metal.

Again thanks everyone - I assume that what I thought was the hole for a roll pin is actually the roll pin itself and that it has sheared in two with part still left - pictures of each end attached. So all I need to do is remove that bit that remains and find a replacement. Good tip re drill bit - I'll see if I have any small enough.
