Disturbing Bee Deaths in Belgium

I have noticed bees on the ground under our weeping lime looking very disoriented, walking around in erratic loops.
Added to that we have platoons of house martins who dive around the top of the tree with annoying frequency during the day. I'm convinced they're scooping up my bees as well as other flying insects.
As the blossom opens progressively towards the ground, they may be safer from this predation over the next few days.
 
I love Finny too, always look out for his posts, he livens the whole forum - oh, and his advice is always worth listening to.

Iglos would be nice here. We have had one month temps 25-33C. Bee plants have almost died. Nature looks like in September.
