CCD is man made, all to more accurate American Made - all down to poor beekeeping practices in the US (no great coincidence that it's the only country who has it) probably a combination of long distance migratory beekeeping, intensive apiary practices, corn syrup feeding, improper overwintering combined with constant movement on to new crops and clueless varroa management (with maybe a dash of neonics - just to keep the hand wringers happy :D)

I don't feel well :puke: I'm actually finding myself agreeing with jkb :hairpull:

;)

I haven't been able to find that Research paper, which they reference in the Radio program, in which they can re-create CCD by adding virus's (I know, it only shows that an over load of virus's are one, of possible many, causes of CCD) anyone know of it's location or name at least for us to hunt it down?

If industrial chicken farmer tried to blame GMO feed on his chicken mortality in their barns we'd all laugh at them.

Industrial scale pollinators who treated their bees that same way as battery chickens seemed to have successfully pulled off the trick when blaming agrichemical companies.

Read 'the beekeeper's lament' written by an American journalist who follows one of the major players in migratory beekeeping out there - it starts out looking like an apologist piece, but as you read more, you see the beekeeper beginning to analyse his practices and, eventually admitting that maybe, after all, they carry a lot of the blame themselves.

:iagree::yeahthat::iagree::yeahthat::iagree:

Boils my Urine that they try to blame everything but themselves, whenever a colony dies out it's automatically CCD regardless of the real reason!

It doesn't happen to all American beekeepers, there are some very good beekeepers there but they get tared with the same brush as the bad ones

.
A new aspect has arousen in CCD knowledge.

- Backyard beekeepers have double size loss figures compared to professionals.
- varroa has big meaning in small scale beekeeping.
- to trust on varroa resistant queens brings big losses

- huge amount of humbug and sensation is dumped into this issue.

*** The program tells about migratory beekeeping and pollinating business.
