I produced a forecast a week ago:

"I did some numerical analysis assuming transmission cases increase as at present:

End of week forecast total infected.. this week 696
next week 4,200
Next +1 week 25,000

And assuming nothing changes - which it will not unless quarantine of London starts -
by mid May we will see 5.5million +/- 1 million..

Why we are letting 17 planes land from Italy and not testing passengers beats me... unless the numbers of infections brought in that way will make no difference.

My forecast says they will make no difference...except spread it a little more widely..."

We should be social distancing now...

Note as at last night we had 590 cases so my forecast for today of 696 looks low.
Basically the calculation is multiply the last week's figure by 6 to get the next one.. It's an exponential curve

We should be social distancing now...

The NHS will not be saving people but deciding whom to leave to die due to the numbers..

I heard a retired expert on the radio who said we have cases doubling every 4 days and he is correct so far.
On that expansion we will have on 02/05/29 4833,280 cases and at 1% death rate there would be 48,332 dead. These firgures are based on a number of 590 cases yesterday.
Rolling on to 1st. July we are looking at 158376919040 cases and 1583769190 dead. It's a pity we've trusted Boris with keys

You do know that as of 2019 there's only 66,800,000 ish people in the UK?

6 hundred thousands deaths.... conspiracy theory says that if most of these poor souls are of pensionable age, and have underlying health problems... both of which cost this country £billion per year...

Will solve Burberling Boris the problem of an underfunded NHS and the burden of debt caused by fund stripping of the pensions scheme.
Probably free up a lot of housing and reduce traffic on our overcrowded roads.

BUT... one can not accuse this lot of the blue rinsed privileged few of spreading doom and gloom!!

Chons da

Yes but if all us oldies die just think how many people will go out of business. Cruise ships, stately homes, denture suppliers, hearing aid companies, tenna pad suppliers.. There will be another baby boom though cos everyone is locked up together

Toilet roll sellers will be making a killing though..a £6 pack of rolls in this neck of the woods has gone up to over £9..

Honey prices might go up as less supply due to the number of older beekeepers.

Divorces will probably rocket too and undertakers will be busier than normal.
