The 2024 Conwy Honey Fair was a great success. We had abut 20 honey sellers and 50 other stalls. Stall space is free of charge, as part of the ancient Royal Charter. We invite stallholders to make a donation towards Bees for Development. We raised over £I500, a record amount.

one day I will get the time to get up there, just for a mooch around rather than to sell honey, last time I was in Conwy, I was too busy chasing drug smugglers to have a look around

The "putlog holes" in Conwy Town Walls are a favourite nesting place for swarms of bees, just the right size.

I remember you mentioning that previously. Every time we are there I look for them.

It started spitting at about 07:30 and a collective groan went through all the stallholders. But then it thought better of it and we had a clear day. Lots of people and quite a few bees visited (with many people commenting on the number of wasps around ). Thanks, Pete, for organising the day so well

It's why I always choose the shady side of the street. You don't get the invaders until nearly closing time. Peter sits up top without a tasting jar and gets away with it.
