picking up on something mikethebee said (I admire and support this forum because the members has made a stand for them selves away from tuther side, NEXT step look for a insurance company to do a block policy.)

sounds like a good idea, maybe it could be done though this bee keeping forum.

I have arranged a meeting with a bee insurance underwriter for forum members with 1 to 39 colonies.

I will keep everyone updated.
 
What we need is a complete new beekeeping association with the insurances. Just looks like the one we have is not going to change but get worse. such a shame.

I am seeing the return of many birds and butterflies in the new forest after a spell of around 10 years.


Have to say, Admin, there is a noticeable lack of butterflies and moths in my area.
Last year counted about 5 in total-- previous years 30-40 - and certainly never see peacocks or meadow brown any more- only a few cabbage white, red admirals and common blues - the rest have disappeared. Very worrying.
