I finally got started with the mead and it is bubbling away nicely..I started this batch monday gone and I have another six demijohns at my disposal to fill and experiment with..

I love the improvisation with the hose pipe , is that what you start mead on Steve 1.190 sg

I filled the one with the pipe too much and it bubbled into the air lock so the pipe is just to vent it of till it calmed down and the pipe is no longer there..on the SG all are different..

It has the yeast and nuitrient in now so it is in the fermenting stage...not sure if that is called the must stage.

Its turning out nice ..it has started to clear and tasting surprisingly nice.
