Friend of mine went to dinner in the 60s and there was MRD; after a few bottles no-one wanted to go home, so Michael ended up in bed with Mandy. After this was agreed, she turned to him and said: d'you mind if we don't?

Nearing 80 but still a sparkling and raffish gent. He was a 60s TV producer and writer who seemed to meet anyone who was anyone without trying.
