Do you mean the squirrels dug up the bulbs? Could it just as likely be other rodents?

If I hadn't seen some being dug up by the blighters, I'd have happily believed that it was down to my own less than green fingers.
The handful of survivors were in the mesh-covered pot ...
 
I hope i am correct but we are planting the following this year on a couple of scrap acres we have
Sweet Clover
blue lupins
phacelia
crimson clover
red clover
yellow trefoil
borage
vipers bugloss
Which i am lead to believe are great for bees and are good at self seeding, hopefully loads of honey this year but mmmm...... things never that easy but hoping as our borage honey last year is still being enjoyed by the boss. :)
