Just saw a itv anglia news report this evening about hives being stolen in norfolk.could even bee someone on here.good coverage but they did mention they were worth 1000 pounds with the hive.makes me think ill keep mine in the garden.didnt realise they were stealable.how on earth can someone steal a hive full of bees.

I Heard about that, was told they were on the Norfolk Lavender site. Thing is unless you knew the keeper you wouldn’t give it a second thought if you saw someone kitted up across fields humping boxes about.

My cedar hives with a couple of suppers, frames and wax over £250, add a colony of bees, quite lucrative.
 
In Sussex- a beekeeper went to his hives- all frames nicked -with bees- just empty hives left so it looked normal

ive got something for them in my cabernet 2 in fact they take 12 and 20 gage if i catch them on my land that is
