Hopefully you have read some of my posts and know I am not a shill.
I bought some polyhives from BBwear and what arrived didn't match the description. The description had a mistake in it. Couldn't believe their kindness when they said they would bear the cost of the miss-print. I ended up getting a much better deal than I would have otherwise apparently.
The customer service from this place is unreal…Delivery was also wicked fast!
Going to put many of my future buys through them.
Hope this doesn't break forum rules but credit where credit is due!!!!

paines sell their suits re badged as their own, have had one for 3 years very good.

Your Association can ask BB to join their discount scheme. (Clothing only, but hey, for the asking ...)

Very pleased with my jacket.

BBWear took my damaged hood in at the National Honey Show and repaired it for £20 (special offer incl P&P) and it was back to me, like new, on the following Friday. So agreed - great service and a good product.

Four year old BB suit here which has just about got one more season in it with a bit of patching - and the only replacement is another BB suit in my book. Good kit pays for itself.

As I understand it, you just need to get your branch to confirm to BB by email that you are a member to be entitled to the discount. Early in the new year we shall be doing exactly that.

Tim, that is what happens, but I think your Association needs to have got itself onto their list first.

Thanks for this hot tip! & good to know that the suits are decent too.
My local association didnt accept my membership yet..

When I phoned BB a while back there was no problem, but we're in Devon so they may know Oke. branch. As we're so close we can pop down and try them on to save carriage etc.

We're probably going for the lightweight suits as we can allways put extra layers on underneath for chilly times but won't bake in the summer.

Tim.

Bought a BB complete suit with round hat. Knelt in front of hive to insert mouse guards and got stung on the nose. Reported this and requested swap to tunnel-type hat. BB sent me an apology and commiserations, tunnel hat (gratis), and stiffeners to prevent round hat collapsing. Did not ask for round hat to be returned.
No repetition of stings. Best to wear base-ball hat under round model
Good service!

This thread and others like it are one of the reasons I joined the forum.

I assume that all of the poster's like me have connection to the co. in question but just report the real world.

As a new beek a couple of years ago I needed info. re. what's good and what to avoid, within the forum constraints I found a lot of good info.

But if you have an issue with a supplier please talk to them first, they will probably be suprised at your problem and sort it PDQ. If they don't then let the rest of us know.

Recently a member had an issue with a nuc which hit the forum and various members were guessing the supplier, who sorted the problem. So let's not knock any supplier until they've proven themselves to be carp.

:confused: I am finding it difficult to understand this sentence or the point you are making

I thibnk there may be a 'no' missing before 'connection'

JBM, You're correct.
I managed to catch a missing no in a previous post yesterday but missed this one. My fingers don't allways do what my brain is thinking these days. Age doesn't come alone!

Nothing fishy about this thread...look at my other posts. I'm an AV Tech with no affiliation. Just think these guys deserve some credit.

Relax - he's a lawyer - always looking for an angle to catch the unsuspecting out - know what they say - where there's blame there's another Carribean holiday :biggrinjester:

I have read numerous threads on here where a supplier has issues , they are systematically slaughtered and yet if anyone wants to praise a good service those concerned are suspected of having a vested interest. It should be fair to compliment the good if its ok to slaughter any that have any problems.

:iagree:

Precisely!

It's easy to complain, and for the thread to end up miles (exaggeration) long, but I don't think anybody starting a complaint thread has ever been accused of being a competitor of the company they're complaining about.
