re : Advertisment I couldnt possibly comment :)

re: Brave...? what burning the matchstick men in their own box?

you do realize that by the third day of the spring event all sane beekeepers have left, so it is the real hardcore followers of wedmore that have slept in the student accommodation, radiators turned off and windows wide open who attend the 10:00 Sunday morning lectures,

Gordenstoun or Sedbergh school old boys comes to mind if you have ever met any)

Well, I bokked my hotel before they realised there's a convention on - so got it at the cheap rate, unfortunately I'll be following the sane beekeepers and going home Saturday evening :D

Had a chance to look at the programme - disappointing that there is hardly a mention of SHB, just two talks on the Friday - Biology, diagnosis and control of SHB by Peter Neumann and The outbreak of SHB in Italy by Franco Mutinelli.
I suppose that if they ignore it, it will go away

Almost booked classes and accommodation, then realised a second long weekend away from baby duties (I've a vets rugby tour a month after the convention) might be pushing it rather :(

Well, I bit the bullet, booked for the Convention, the dinner, accommodation, a workshop and a lecture.

Now I've got to smuggle these in past SWMBO!

I used to be an honest person till I started beekeeping.
Now, it's all subterfuge and manufactured innocence.

This is the first time I've done this. I've booked the ticket but can't seem to work out how to book workshops etc.

Any tips?

edit: never mind found it

Anyone planning on attending the 'virtual beekeeping' workshop?

Isn't that what the forum is for? :)

Not totally sure whether it's the same kind of 'virtual', I'm wondering whether the workshop will be about internet forums or how to use empty beehives and scientific measuring equipment :)

well, booked my workshops and planned my lectures - bit of a tiring day on Friday - arrive back in Bristol from Poland late Thursday and have to be at HA by about midday - I'll have to find a seat next to someone I know so they can make sure I stay awake!

Can't go this year, maybe next. I'll have to rejoin my old BKA in Cumbria so that I'm BBKA too

is there really a point? it's only a two quid saving in the entrance fee if you are.
I see they're doing an entry ticket for the trade stands only this year - bet you there'll be some whingers at the exorbidant £4.00 entry fee

Has the BBKA site crashed?

Has the site crashed as I don't seem to be able to buy a ticket? - nothing happens when i add it to my cart
