Balsam Question

Hi Guys
I know a few of you take your bees to forage on Rape, Heather etc. but have you considered/taken your bees to forage on Balsam?

Took two hives tonight just got in they are sitting on river bank right in the middle of it.

First time i have done this will let you know how it goes

I have it all around me, loads of it for a good mile in each direction. I live a stone throw away from the rive Ouse. This is my first year in beekeeping so i will be keeping an watch on it to see how it fairs

I have sited an out apiary near a load purely because of this.

Acres of the stuff within a 1 mile radius.. I have motley white and brown bees....

has anyone got areas around Nottinghamshire with Balsam. Or any details of websites highlighting this "weed"
