Completely unnecessary. If Mazzamazda's method is followed then VV nests never get that big and far far less pesticide is used. If you watch the clip carefully you'll see that the hornets fly off to die so you get circa 5000 pesticide laced hornets dropping randomly all over the place. Nice little environmental bomb going off!
I don't disagree with you but the stumbling block in Jersey may be that the Mazzamazda method is not, as far as I'm aware, approved by any regulatory body in France or Portugal or Jersey.
If I recall correctly, Plenty of Honey reported a similar method to the NBU during the Tetbury incursion and the method got no support but I cannot remember the reason for this rejection. Perhaps PoH can recall?
