The pest controller is either misinformed, or lying to get out the situation.

Had a call out today to a lady with a 'swarm' in her first floor bathroom vent. She's already had a pest controller out to have a look, apparently he confirmed they were bees but he too declined the job as 'they are a protected species'. So seems that it's a fairly standard response. Will be removing the chimney swarm mentioned earlier on Saturday when the chimney mortar is removed.

Yes, its basicly too much hassle, by the time you call in a builder to remove the brickwork, destroyed or removed the colony, removed and cleaned up any comb/honey, builder has rebuilt the wall! You are into hundreds of pounds rather than just a few quid like a wasp nest. Thats why pest controllers dont want to know and most people wont pay.

I have to admit that i have been putting bee jobs off already this year, My responce is, "i can get there in two weeks time, or call so and so"
