2018 virgins have killed two of my 2017 Queens which leaves me with one hanging on by the skin of her teeth.
Maybe the magnetic pull of the earth has changed and sent them into over drive.:spy:
Maybe slowly realising that just blindly knocking down queen cells and doing precious little else - clipped queens or not. Is not sensible colony management might help more than worrying about magnetic fields.
 
Very quiet across Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire on the swarming front (our apiaries anyway).

One apiary with 18 hives had only one showing any interest last week.

The phone has hardly rung.
