Electric produced by gas fired power stations. The green nonsense is very tiring and costly. Will post a chart shortly showing why our energy policy, that means lunacy, has destroyed our industry..

There's someone on here who seems to be a bit of a guru in all things solar, ashp etc. so they may be able to help. but for the life of me I cant remember who.

Just hijacking a little rather than create another thread, so if they see this , I too could do with some helpful input too.

I'm looking to the future, and would like some unbiased advice from someone, rather than a salesman, who all seem a bit snake oily on this.
I live in a converted fairly open plan barn, with LPG boiler and wet underfloor heating, plus a log burner, got a few pitched roofs facing wsw, and one small facing due south, so looking to explore all the options.

Air course would work well with your underfloor but they use a lot of electricity so you need to offset that with solar.
If people think they can save money they will probably be disappointed they will however massively reduce their carbon footprint and can take the moral high ground Government will eventually have to penalise those of us who continue to use gas and oil but at the moment if you are looking for the cheapest not eco friendly then stick with what you have and let the kids sort it out

Again is that gas generated electricity greener than the gas I use in my gas boiler. Any who believes wind an solar will replace gas or nuclear in this lifetime are fooling themselves. I am not so fooled and is the reason I scream with anger at how our nation's resources are being shoveled into the hands of our enemies the globalists whilst the fools clap their hands like seals in support.
