Thank you just wanted to be sure I got some of my bees from preston

I live within 3k from the reported case of AFB. It was found in/near Woodplumpton, Preston, Lancashire.

This will bring you to the appropriate BeeBase page giving OS grid ref, in this case SD53 as I look today. I did several searches to find out where this was - Google maps took me to Royal Preston Hospital, which is about 2 - 3 k away from the actual hive, so this method has it's faults. It was only by word of mouth I found out just how near it was.

Seasonal Bee Inspector came yesterday to check for AFB and I am relieved to say my bees are clear. The inspector said that he had not discovered any more on his patch as yet.

It is essential that we all register on Beebase to let them know where your hives are.

I've created a new thread on methods to see "the square" online.

But its notable that this one seems to have been right on the boundary ...

I have some concerns about the beebase e-mail notification system.
I was told by my bee inspector that my hives may be at risk due to the fact AFB had been found in the Oswestry area. Yet I have had no e-mail and there is nothing on beebase about it.

There are issues with the process of getting on to Beebase. I have tried several times and failed.

Ho hum..if the system is faulty how many others are unable to register??

I got a e-mail from them the other day reminding me of my login details that I had requested. I sent them an e-mail asking why I had received this as I hadnt asked for it their reply was they were having difficulties.
