The smallest, Twts used to be fine with them but nowadays she just spend her time either cowering under my desk or waiting for a lap to sit on

Should be banned. My dogs don't like them but not too phased, poor old Pepper used to get in a terrible state over crackers at the table.
I can only imagine what our wildlife thinks.
