    stainless extractor (rust) looks like blueing of the stainless .the welding has been carried out ok but not been clean up ,its not surface rust .use a st/steel wire brush .

    stainless extractor (rust) hello BBG, Looking at your photo I would say the fabricator has not pickled the material after welding or polished the surface .it looks very much like coking on the surface bad workmanship ...perhaps you could show a few more photos ???

    hello Veg personally I would have it plasma cut at a local steel fabricator workshop ,grinding will cause you dust problems ,jig sawing will be like using a can opener !!!,

    broodbound hi boutbees, I use commercials and found the same thing ,try compressing the frames down to 8 using 2 x double dummy boards,you will find this will force the bees upwards to work the supers this works for me even when demmerring !!!.then before winter feeding remove the double -DBs...
