unknown black insect

hi all
does anyone have any idea what this insect is ?. I found it above q-excluder how it got through it have know idea.

Looks like a bumble bee which has lost the battle

I usually find one or two of those in the hives in spring. Fascinating, but quite sad, to see what they look like with all the hairs removed.
