Took the last boxes off the association hives last weekend. The frames in one were bright yellow, cappings, wax and honey.
We are assuming it comes from the nectar, but no-ones seen anything like this before! Any ideas?
Ragwort
I thought ragwort was toxic / poisonous to all but the cinnabar moth and its caterpillar
Cinnabar moths do not eat the leaves...I think the cinnabar moth is the only creature to eat the plant leaves and stems without toxicity, but the same toxins are only present as traces in nectar.
No they don't.. they drink nectar..Oh yes they do - round our way they strip them bare.

It's the caterpillars that eat the leaves, adult moths feed on nectar
Lifecycle stage doesn't change the common name or classification.
My bad for assuming all here would be familiar with the process of development from larval to adult stage.
