Some thoughts. Any reason you won't join an association?

I didn't say I wouldn't join an association, I said I was NOT a member of an association. There is a difference.

Well spotted Briarfield.

I was wondering too.

What exactly were you wondering Barbarian?

99% of the people on this forum are extremely helpful. It's the remainder that make me think twice about joining an association.

Bees are near to Junction 10 of the M6 (Walsall Junction)

I agree,

if you can reduce down the area it might help with finding someone that can help?
I'm 'Midlands' but west Midlands. its a pretty big area.

EDIT

ahh you just posted while I was typing :)

a bit far out for me sadly

:iagree: just ignore the trolls and make your own mind up as to what is good advice that will suit you, i am also not a member of any association just as well really as i would not last 2 minutes before getting banned if there was anyone in an association anything like some of the grumps on here.

I have not read through all the thread so i may have missed this if it has already been mentioned, anyway is it at all possible for you to move your hives near to a spot where you have someone willing to look after them for you till you return, maybe for a percentage of the honey in return for the help, or is this not practical for you.

I know some like that in my BKA......I just keep quiet as they eulogise outdated beekeeping practices.......
but I do enjoy going to the odd meeting.

I'm probably grumpy myself......age!

This forum is nothing like an association lol.
There are some great people in associations around you.

Maybe I'm just being a bit thick today ... but just what is being implied in the above ?

I've noticed that there are some people who've run up post counts in the thousands, in just a year or three - but no-one ever accuses them of having verbal diarrhea.

Likewise, some folk join and never post - but again, no-one calls them out for non-participation.

Tolerance guys, tolerance.

Don't be nasty..:D , i ask a lot of questions and also hopefully offer a bit of advice on subjects other than bee related topics, if i had the option to have my post count removed i would do it as it means nothing as far as being a experienced good beekeeper goes, that post you quoted mind wasnot called for..;)

I can stand being thought of as grumpy.

I am still looking for a reply to the post from Briarfield.
