Where can I find Sloes?

Started picking sloes a couple of days ago. They are certainly not over-ripe, even now. 4kg into the freezer; that would suffice if the birds start on them, but I reckon I will get plenty more before then.

Half the frozen ones will be in demijohns by later tonight.

You must be rich if you can fill a demijohn with Gin !! Or have you a secret still and a source for Juniper berries ?
 
You will find them in hedgerows which have not been cut. Many people prefer to pick them after the first frost. You should still find them out there now - 2013 was a good year for sloes. Cheers!
