Two wheels good, four wheels better. Two wheeled one from a skip, fitted new axle and wheels and painted. Four wheeled one bought for thirty quid in an auction that was selling off garden centre stuff. Cleaned up and painted, fits two national brood boxes or half a dozen supers.

Sorry, no photos due to forum rules on post count.

I have been looking for a garden wheelbarrow with flat bottom of sufficient size that will also accommodate the 460mm square base of a national hive. Can anyone recommend a manufacture/style? I have had a few odd looks as I wander around garden centres with crown board vainly trying to find a wheelbarrow large enough.
See https://tinyurl.com/yck8jdkb for details of my bee barrow, which uses an old National wooden floor, in place of the wheelbarrow pan. I wouldn't be without it.

Go to your local horse supplies shop. They have big barrows, for shifting bedding etc., which could be useful.

I have had many kind of wheel helpers, and are still, but one wheel varroa is best. IT goes best on narrow walking path and it is horizontaly controlled best.
No motorway needed on field or on forest.

And it is needed in many other works.

The height is good in lifting!

Be careful with the horsey barrows. When i checked them although the sides were higher, the bottom of the pan was still to narrow to accommodate a national hive and as an earlier poster said, they were pricey!

Have you seen the prices in most equestrian suppliers by comparison with farm suppliers?

Indeed!
Fancy coloured barrows from equestrian suppliers much more expensive than a real chunky barrow from a builders merchant!
