My friend says he has a bee/wasp nest in his garage that he wants me to get rid off. He is about an hours drive so i asked him to send me a picture however i cant tell if its a bee or a wasp, Im leaning to wasp but happy to be wrong.
No. You will lose far more bees to birds and spiders. We have Hornets nesting near our bees most years and never had them show any interest in the bees.
Beautiful creatures.
I had 5 hornets nests within 30m of some of my hives last year with constant hawking and killing. Not only do you lose bees, but also honey production as it reduces foraging.
