That seems pretty poor service. Tell him he just lost a sale on the back of it - I’ll stick with my ageing Varrox after all.

Time to invoke the faulty goods act, methinks.
Does Duncan tell you what was wrong with it and what was done to repair it?
I posted the comment while extremely peed off so will give Duncan the chance to prove his worth but certainly will consider faulty goods.
He just doesn’t believe the unit is faulty so now he’s blaming the batteries but they are all no more than 6 month old and fully charged when I put them on.

(Ssssh! I only posted for Neil to add weight to his complaint).
😂 thank you! In fact I agree with Erichalfbee, it’s fantastic when it’s working it’s just that Duncan won’t except mine is a rogue and just replace it. If he had I wouldn’t be relating this but congratulating him on his customer service!

What make of battery do you use, Neil? If he insists the unit is OK, I think it's safe to assume he has done test runs with it. When it stops working, what happens when you change the battery?

I have Einhell batteries. When it stops working I immediately think I’ve run out of power so replace with a fully charged battery but it still remains blank!
Yesterday I managed to get it to light up for a few mins then it went blank again and when I banged it in frustration it lit up but wouldn’t heat up!
I’m not convince Duncan does a full check on them as I get the feeling he only imports them and sticks his label on them. I’m not convinced he’s a technical guy. The problem is it’s intermittent!

Was hoping to finish off the vaping but my instantvap gave up the ghost with 2 colonies to go.
This is the third time I’ve had to send it back. It’s obviously a dodgy example but Duncan refuses to replace it. I’m getting extremely p****d off as every time it stops working I have to wait a week or so before he returns it “repaired”
hmm, i am flirting with idea of going down that route but will watch the story unfold

Yes he imports them, Duncan became the UK Instantvap distributor. I did wonder about problem solving as I had bought mine the year before, from Janos in Budapest but I assumed there would be some sort of interaction regarding technical repairs and after sales service, at least you would hope that was the case.

rogue counterfeit batteries
Einhell batteries are made in China, so uber-positive blurb interpretation necessary: manufacturing takes place in various locations, including China. German engineers and technicians oversee the manufacturing process, guaranteeing that all products adhere to the stringent standards set by Einhell.
