I remember the 1962-63 winter. 4 meter snowdrifts outside our house.
Road up the hill blocked until May.
School closed for one day.. None of your "there are 10cms of snow so close down" rubbish of nowadays.
My brother and I walked home from school 4 miles in a howling blizzard.
(As opposed to cycling)
Remember it well too. My father and I was out on the sea ice by car fishing for cod.

Let's stop for a minute and compare some other things .... 1963, How many vehicles were on the roads? A fraction of what we see today.
I remember this being discussed on Questiontime ... and the muppet (oops) hero who bragged that HE made it into work, while others living closer did not. He also went on to say these others should be disciplined. Then we found out his journey had taken six hours! So I guess he didn't do a great deal when he got there and we never found out what time he got home.
You must be OLD
Not really, your are as old as you feel and I was very young then. My father was in the army so he trained me well. Besides some women recently thought I was 12 years yonger than my chronological age, so I am feeling good. How about you? You seem a bit sad.
Did this woman owe you money ?

Maybe she was lesbian and found me attractive? It's not all about the money, money, money... although I got a bit of that.
