I have to move a hive. I know the rule more than 3 miles or less than 3 meters.

The new location is 3.1 miles by road.

What's people's thoughts on if this is enough?

What's people's thoughts on if this is enough?

My out apiary is just under three miles away from my home apiary…probably less as the bee flies. Never had any trouble moving colonies between them.

more than enough - it's a ballpark guide, not a distance set in stone, a lot depends on the topography between the two sites and at this time of year it's safe to move them a lot shorter distance, yards even.
