Quite a few on the hive but there were several arriving and departing every second flying off towards the same direction at least 50m away from the hive before I lost sight of them. Do they fly off some distance to defecate or do they do it around the hive ?
Neighbours washing usually. I really must ‘fess up to the unexplained yellow dots on their clean sheets!

Take it easy. Paracetamol and lots of fluids (water!) helps a lot.
doesn't help that I mostly sleep on my left side and I forgot to ask her to use my right arm, I lways drink a lot of water, but any more and I'd be in danger of wetting meself :ROFLMAO:

Don't "fess up" or you will have every neighbour within a half a mile complaining and demand you get rid of the bees. !!!! :laughing-smiley-014

12C, warm! bees bringing in yellow pollen - ivy?
Fed mini nucs.
Vaped.

Had the builders round at one apiary to measure up for the new shed base, very cold here but still a few bees venturing out, then went over to Tŷ Uchaf to finish moving the bees and stands to the new apiary site.
As I was out and about I continued along the back lanes to Amanford to get some milk - I passed Pentwyn Farm which sits on a crossroads on the outskirts of Amanford and has been a landmark to generations of kids (some used to pass it daily on the school bus serving the kids in the outlying areas of our village) looking out over Amanford and beyond and known to us as 'the red barn' because funnily enough the very large hay barn, unlike the norm for here was not painted in black bituminous paint, but red. Well, red barn is no more - a casualty of either Arwen or Barra, the curved corrugated roof has gone and even the lean to roof on one side looks a wee bit tired. The roof has weathered far worse storms than that but I suspect was just a victim of old age.
What will people call the farm from now on?

There was a stackyard adjacent to Boothferry Bridge near Goole. The bus stop there was timetabled as Stackyard even after it was demolished and ploughed out. We also had Elm Tree corner near Howden where I used to live. The tree was cut down during the 1960s as it was rotten inside, however the name lives on😉

They all love the honey so think they’re staying regardless of bee poo!

LOL! Me too… (not the wetting myself bit). Every time I rolled onto my side in bed, I woke up…. two nights of cr@p sleep and an arm that felt like it had been kicked by horse.

My first and second shots were Pfizer which was broken down from it's cryogenic pack at the main medical centre in Goole because our village centre didn't have the necessary handling resources. I had the booster shot 3 at the village centre which makes me think it was the AZ version that I believe ships at near normal temperatures so easier to handle. I had no noticeable side effects from shots 1 and 2 but the booster resulted in aches and pains that lasted for days. I'm on ibuprofen for separate problem so that took the edge off things somewhat.

The booster which was the moderna wiped me out!!! Shivers high temp and a god awful headache, no effects from first two. Still glad I had it though

Had our booster on 10th October but have still cancelled any support visits by AgeUK, Dementia Support etc or socialising for Xmas of any sort other than be phone or whatever and beyond in the interests of wife and self and the wider community. Got to be if this bug is to be defeated.

I'm one of the lucky ones. Two shots of OxAZ and a Moderna booster at the end of November with no side effects at all. Maybe it means my immune system is completely fried though. My wife had the same side effects as you from her Moderna booster.

Do your poly hives have landing boards - as my two Maisies do. Makes using the GasVap difficult - or maybe you have a Sublimox?
I gave up using my mk1 GasVap after I damaged several Maisies poly nucs last year. I didn't manage to set any on fire and didn't notice I was damaging them until later. When doing the vaping (through the entrances) I concentrated on keeping the GasVap from touching the poly and didn't notice that the hot gases were melting the poly higher up where there is a ridge / overhang. Nothing terminal, but I think could easily have resulted in a fire. I now have a Sublimox which I bought in an Abelo 10% off everything sale last Autumn.

Gasvape above the CB through a thingymajig and a feed hole.

All flying but this one 'different'.
Clusters of bees cleaning another bee. My theory is they are queenless and a bee drifts over from hive next door and gets smothered by residents detecting queen pheromone. Colony was broodless, possibly queenless at beginning of November. ?
