Hi all

This weekend was great for bees both at the Association Apiary and it appears for mine.

Did inspections on both and they appear thriving in the main. Monday was so beautiful around my yard I put a little footage together that I thought some might like.

The 'girls' certainly like the sweet cherry tree which is bursting currently.

(Sorry about the non relevant pieces to bees but hope you like it anyhow?)

Lovely video. Thanks for sharing. May just watch it again and, again.

I saw the first bee in my garden this year - really was getting worried as there are usually quite a few. My cherry tree came into blossom on Friday so this may be the reason .... it's very late this year. The bee that I saw was not actually collecting - no sign of pollen on her - she just sat on one of my fence posts for about 20 minutes and appeared to be grooming her wings with her legs ? Not sure what she was doing ... I got it recorded on my iphone and if I can work out how to change the video format I'll post it on here.

Thanks Nick. Lovely! Watched it while eating a sandwich at my desk - back at work today. Sigh...
