I just want to put this post in at this part of the thread that until this is proven it is all speculation and not fact.

Until it is proven one way or the other beekeepers new and old should be inspecting and looking for signs of abnormalities with their bees and then inform the bee inspectors if they suspect something and not just because they got the bees from this place.

Ok - so even if the "live" map is not "live" beebase clearly states that the 2kmx2km grid reference covering WPF has confirm EFBx2 in June 2011.
If it is at WPF hives i would imagine records may not be well kept so LBI unable to contact purchasers.

i would suggest anyone who has taken possession of bees from that grid reference contacts their own LBI to at least ask for advice in first instance.

I got mine in april, i did not get any paper work, TBF i could have been joe blogs saying i payed the deposit wheres my bees? He would not have known.

I dont think there is any problem with the bees i got from him, but to cover my little Scottish ass, i will be contacting my LBI tonight

beebase clearly states that the 2kmx2km grid reference

Which 2km x 2km grid reference? Beebase only records the 10km square by letter letter number number such as TL40

It doesn't mean TL4000 a 1km square, or TL400000 a 100m square

i stand corrected (confusion due to the other posted grid references in this thread) BUT my sentiments remain exactly the same.

i am unable to confirm this information as i have not bought bees from weald place bees, but i have been told that he is on stop because it has been found that he has EFB, If anyone has got bees off him i should check the bees with caution, (clean gloves and dispose or wash after each inspection if more than one hive) your local bee inspector should be able to give advice

he had bee inspectpors in mon 1site had efb 2 sites where clear i know this is true as i spoke to him yesterday because he owed me a replacement queen as i of my nucs had no queen he also gave me a refund but i wot recomend him 2 anyone to buy off him:party:ive got bee inspector comig fri to check mine 2 hives got mine 9th june

Doesn't anyone learn to write in English, anymore?

Facts please; less speculation and 'aint it awful'.

fact is he has 1 site with efb spoke to him on phone 2 sites clear spoke on tuesday morning and thats a true fact not speculation

Dozens of confirmed cases of EFB on the list - so why are you picking on WFB when you have no evidence that it is actually him???

im not picking on him its just that i got my bees off him on 9th june 1 was queenless so had to ring him to find out when it would come he told me he had efb on one site ther 2 sites clear and thats from the horses mouth

So, do your bees have EFB? Did you check them when you purchased them? Maybe yours came from the clear apiaries. Have the bee inspectors been around to check yours yet?
Whatever, you have done damage to his business with your announcement.

bee inspector coming to day ive not damaged his business hes done that himself why defend him when you dont know him or do you

As oldtimer said he's done the damage to his own business - see the other thread.
Which brings me to my point: by now we all know what kind of a Walter Mitty character he is he may have told youhimself that he has foulbrood but due to the fact EFB is in the area he may have just added that to the list of excuses in his armoury to explain his poor service (in that case he's shooting himself in the foot but that fact may not have dawned on him in cuckoo land!) something else to blame if he files for bankruptcy (again)
More importantly anyone who has had bees off him, be vigilant!

I am surprised Admin has not already locked this thread as it is full of innuendo and I suspect not a little bad feeling.

Rumour damages business faster than anything.

Please lock this down Admin?

I have been following the threads about WPF and there seems to be some sort of "mob fury" directed at him. If I know him or not is nothing of your business as is wether he files for bankrupcy or not. You are using the forum to mount a personal attack at another member which, in my opinion, is unethical.
You still haven't told us wether you actually inspected your bees when you bought them or is diagnosing EFB beyond your capabilities?

:iagree:

Although, to be fair to Oldtimer and the OP - I think their motives are honourable, they are just giving a heads-up to other customers to check their bees.
The issue is that, despite my warning in post #2 about the previous thread being locked, the rumour is still being propogated.
